Ride in style in a wedding limo
One of the most memorable moments on any wedding day is the sight of the bride and groom being whisked away from the church in a sleek wedding limo. A lot of planning has to go into making that moment just right. To ensure you're not disappointed in your wedding transportation, there are a few tricks of the trade you should use to get the best service at the best price.
Hiring Limousines for Wedding Transportation
When arranging your wedding car hire, always make sure to take care of the details. This includes:
- Collecting quotes. Look into the cost of getting wedding cars for the whole day or by the hour. Which is cheaper, and which approach best serves your needs? Once you've decided how long you're going to need your wedding transportation, make a list of rental companies and see what they offer for a basic price quote. Limousine rental can be fairly expensive, so you want to get the most for your money.
- Exploring your options. More than limousines may be available, and it may make more sense to have your fleet made up of a variety of different vehicles than to pay for "wedding limos all the way." It's not unusual for larger cars to be reserved for the bridal party and groomsmen, while the newlywed couple makes their getaway in an intimate sports or luxury model.
- Getting everything in writing. Once you've decided on a package, make sure everything is in writing, down to the last detail. Allow an extra half-hour before pickup and after drop-off to account for emergencies or logistical snags. Make sure you specify the total cost, whether you're renting at a daily or hourly rate, what time you expect to be picked up and dropped off, and how far you want the driver to take you.
Add Wedding Car Decorations
It's common to dress up wedding transportation with little corsages for the antennas and classic "Just Married" wedding car signs. These accessories should be available for a small extra charge if they're not included with your rental.
From transportation to tuxedo to tent rentals, you need to book any rented items for your wedding early. May through August is peak wedding season, and if you're planning to get hitched in the summer, make your reservations well in advance.
